Revolutionary Safety

A state-of-the-art Canopy Tour

that eliminates the risk of falls by removing the 'human error' factor associated with traveller or lanyard transfers.
allows one guest equipment and attachment safety check to last the whole tour.
utilises Continuously Attached Tour Travellers (C.A.T.Ts) which have been especially designed to dampen noise, prevent roll-back and roll straight through onto the CloudStation Safety Cable and then directly onto the next Zip Line - seamless and safe (i.e. continuous belay).
uses Vii CloudStations that have a soft non-rigid sympathetic guest reception scoop which promotes a natural, comfortable and safe landing.
comfortably accomodates tandem (parent/child) flights.
includes (an optional) near ground 'flight simulator' that builds guest confidence.
uses a suspension system that keeps the guest away from the moving traveller, eliminating the risk of finger or scalp avulsions.
prevents guest inversion or spinning by using a specially designed harness/suspension assembly.
has securely accommodated on each CloudStation an Automatic Reciprocating Evacuation Tool.
incorporates design features that eliminate the need for guests to wear gloves and/or contribute to their braking or flight completion.

Within simplicity lies safety. Live load cell evaluations and the exclusive use of easily accessible, exposed, destruction tested and/or rated components in critical applications guarantees that the required industry Safety Factor (over-engineering) is achieved and maintained.

Every component is local to the Vii CloudStation. The daily, quarterly and annual safety inspections can all be achieved easily and without any vertical rope mobility.

Minimal Environmental Impact

Vii tours can be designed to accommodate specific site and market requirements. In highly sensitive areas tours can be very carefully designed and operated to keep any social or environmental impact to an absolute minimum and to maximise opportunities for appreciation and interpretation of the geography, the culture and the immediate ecosystem. The thrill and excitement coming not so much from a ride but rather from the new perspective that the journey offers. A view and realisation of 'the bigger picture' often induces exclamations of 'wow', re-energising and 'anchoring' a reverence for nature and for life.

The System

uses Vii EcoClips that are strong and 'tree friendly'.
has a unique 'halo' design that maintains a ground-to-canopy wildlife corridor on each host tree.
promotes tree health by keeping guests at a distance from the tree trunk.
has CloundStations that move with the tree, not against the tree.
is fabricated off-site to minimise onsite time and environmental impact.
uses CloudStations that can be considered Geo and Bio-mimic.

Vii EcoClips establish an extremely solid, adaptable and maintenance free 'on-tree' foundation. The tree's wood is not penetrated (no bolts, screws or spikes are used) and the total 'tree contact' from a set of EcoClips is a remarkable 0.8% or less of the girth.

The ResQmax, an intrinsically safe multi-shot line launcher simplifies the act of line laying and helps minimise any environmental impact on the site.

Designed to last

the CloudStations have a surface and sub-structure that is ember, UV, rot, termite and weather proof.
Vii EcoClips and CloudStation sub-structure is made from hot dip galvanised steel for uncompromising strength and durability.

allows guides to be relaxed, comfortable and able to focus more on interpretation of the natural environment for the guest.
promotes strong group dynamics, as Vii CloudStations can accommodate up to 12 adults at a time.

Third annual infrastructure safety audit completed at Hollybank (harsh environment w/ up to 400m runs) - condition is 'as new'. Since opening the only maintenance works on the tour infrastrcture have been a re-tention of the 200+m runs (which occured in year one). Over 300,000 CloudStation scoop landings.
